  • Installing OEM grille

I just bought a new OEM grille from GM and want to replace the old grille on my car. I yanked the old grille out and I am somewhat confused on the parts that I need to fasten the new grille. I have heard some people say "pins", some say "Christmas tree pins" and some say "Spring steel nuts"..

Does anyone know what the proper fastener would be, where can I buy them and what do they look like? Pictures would help a lot.

    Thanks, Joe

edit, wait are you talking about the big plastic mofo grille?

it should just pop in there without pins since the OEM just had tabs around the outside of it that hooked into slots

      OEM grille yes.

Popping it in does not work on the new grille or the original OEM grille that I pulled out. I can place the grille in the front bumper but it will not just clip it. It needs to be fastened.

Yes it dose just pop in place but to hold it on there are two nuts that go on some plactic bolts that are molded to the grille, you should be able to get them on from underneath the car.
