  • Replacing Convertible top.

Hey everyone....the time has come for me to replace the top on my car. I want to know if anyone has had any experience with this. I want to have it done professionally, decided not to attempt on my own.

I'm willing to travel to NJ, PA, DE, MD or VA if anyone knows of anyone that does superior work with convertible tops. There is no one around my way, and I am concernd just taking it to a random shop.

Please give your input and let me know.

    Thanks
    sigpic

Take it to a dealership and get an OEM top, not aftermarket.

      I second that unvmyrs.

Replace the top with an OEM top. My friend Cody had an aftermarket top put on his '04 Mustang GT. Needless to say, the aftermarket quality was not the great, the fabric did not withstand the weather and there was a leak somewhere near the passanger rear window. I have read articles in car magazines that suggest OEM tops as a replacement. You might spend a bit more money, but you'll save in the long run.
