Anyone here replaced their dash? The front part with the gauges, radio, HVAC controls, and glove box. I intend to replace mine with a 2002 black one.

Re: Dash Replacement
When I took mine apart it completely broke into pieces. You have to take the driver and passenger side pillars off to sit the dash down correctly, it just snaps in place and then re-install the pillars.

Re: Dash Replacement
I am pretty sure he is talking about the entire dash, not the upper dash lid. I don't know anything about it FIrebirdGT, but wanted to clarify because people were getting confused. Good luck!#1:1999 pewter metallic y87 rs A4 camaro.check out the pics on the link below<br />#2:Bright red 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. Brand new 400 cubic inch Pontiac Motor. Re: Dash Replacement
When I was dismantling the parts car I had a while back I removed the entire dash assembly out of it in just a few hours working by myself, and it really wasn't too hard as long as you're patient... I never did any re-install, but I can't imagine it would be anything you're not plenty capable of...Rebuilding the engine... Building a custom front end... T-top conversion... Custom rear hatch..
Custom interior...

Re: Dash Replacement
I have the same plan for the future. I'd imagine the easiest way by far would be to have a parts car that you can reference through the process. The only trouble spots I can see would be the wiring of the gauges, hvac, and such, as I'm not sure if the wiring is the same.
I wish I could give you some insight into the project. But if you do end up doing it, I'm sure some kind of a writeup would be greatly appreciated by many members!
