  • hard warter stains!!! HELP!

Would anyone know what to use to get rid of hard water stains? My fiancees car has them all over the front half of her car thanks to the sprinklers...sigh...

    Thanks everyone

A good wax job should knock it off.

X2 on the wax job with some good wax, but use a buffer it will take them out with ease.

If you use a buffer the wax will clean it off, I just did mine 2 weeks ago. I had hard water stains from rains and from sprinklers. But mine was on the top , hood and rear hatch area, came out great, the buffer will really get it there and take out the spots. Actually I used a pre-cleaner first. I use the Turtle wax black box which has a step 1 precleaner and then step 2 carnuba wax. I use the buffer and it comes out like glass. The kit comes with detail spray to remove the pre-cleaner and wax. I would think they make a universal kit for all color cars. Might try that.

Wax acts as a sealant and is the last step. Spray on detail spray and buff the area with corn starch. Corn starch acts as a medium abrasive polish and detail spray allows for better coverage. Follow with carnuba wax, not cleaner wax. I just did this to take off hard water spots yesterday evening.
