  • another hid cutoff?

Ok i searched and couldn't find a definite answer. I just got around to adjusting my projector retrofit and was wondering if the cut off should "merge" together from a distance. Like 30 feet the cutoff angles look to be together and up close the angles are spread apart. Just looking for proper advice,.thanks

Could you elaborate a bit? Maybe add some pictures. I'm not sure what you're saying.

i get what you mean, and yeah i'd say they should be able to merge together. right now my cutoff is slightly off on one side so i need to do a little adjusting to get a clean continuous line again.

I know I have had these for a while, I am just getting around to doing this, it's been kinda hecktic. Here's the pics, (they're day pics ill get more later) up close. The further back I go they kinda merge together like this /\ shouldn't they aim like this? || Thats the best I can explain it.

I was always told you dont want them like l l that you want them kinda like / l if there both straight then i think you end up blinding the driver in front of you, thats why you offset the drivers a slight bit. but i could be wrong. they're a pain to adjust, they never quite seem to go the way you want them to lol, then when you think u have u drive it and its all wrong lol

Well I think I got it the best I can possibly get it. Happy medium I believe was met on the gap between the housings and bumper and the light output. Tell me what you guys think. I know its not perfect but they're custom made and I hope this inspires people to build things. Not buy them. :) Here's the pics.
