I don't think there was any factory chrome that goes in that spot and if there are aftermarket pieces that would fit there, wouldn't it get in the way of the door closing?
As I stated above, "You should do whatever makes you happy". From my prospective, it does not look right on any car, especially a sports car. However it does not look too bad on a 1970's DeVille.
this is NOT my car, but it has chrome trim in the same places:
I'll give it to you that it does not look bad on that '69, but our 3rd and 4th gens do not have chrome trim around the glass and bumpers like the factory 1st gen cars. It just looks bad on a modern Camaro. Some might think different.. that is my opinion, not a fact.

I had them on my car, but they were black. Being on a black car, they were invisible unless you looked close. That's how is should be, they do have a purpose, but to draw attention to them is stupid.
I think I'll wrap my car in tin foil, looks good. LOL

I would hope that Mercedes isn't street legal. If the sun hit that car and right angle and blinded me while driving causing an accident, you better believe I'd have a lawyer ready to go.
I received an email about that car. This is the explanation that came with it:
It's a Mercedes Benz owned by an Abu Dhabi
oil billionaire (naturally).
Featuring the newly developed V10 quad turbo
with 1,600 horsepower and 2800nm of torque
0-100km/h in less than 2secs, 1/4 mile in 6.89 secs
running on biofuel.
That is NOT stainless steel, people, it is WHITE GOLD!
I'm sure you'll sleep better tonight, knowing that the
exhorbitant dollars you're paying for gas these days are
at least going to a good cause...
