When I would put my car on a lift and the suspension would unload; the inside of the wheel would come down and rest on the bump stop. I could still pull the wheel off, but when going back on I would have to jack up the rear axle a little to reinstall the wheels on the car so I just pulled them off. Im now running 285/35R18's.

It's SOO much easier just to dremel out the rims. Tried messing with the hubs and thats a PITA.

If you have a posi v8/disc brake rear you wont have to worry bout it but I doubt you have that unless its y87 or a swapped rear.

Mine is Y87 and I still had to grind a bit off both to get the wheels to fit.

Rubbing seems to be a car-by-car basis. And there is also probably some difference in offset between what works without modification (mine) and what doesn't (letzride and techsan)

I wasn't touching my new chrome ZR1 rims with a dremel , like said takes 5-10 minutes to grind the hubs then all 4 wheels will work without problems.

Hmm did not know that, I do know my old 3.08 open rear w/drums were a PITA to try to grind down so I just did the rims instead. (98+ camaro stockers)

I'm not sure about those rims but you usaully have tapered wheel lugs/holes so it really doesnt matter what you do the the center hole as long as you dont go crazy. It's only a hair you have to dremel off on mine and I had the wheels in an easier place to get to. *shrug*
