I want you remove the back panel that had CAMARO across the back and spray it white to match my stripes. Can anybody tell me how to take it off? And when I paint it I was wanting to use spray paint on it. What can type can I use? I was thinking Krylon primer and paint? And if I use the spray paint what can I spray on it to protect the paint from the rain?

Re: Camaro Panel remove and paint
You have to take your tail lights off and then there will be a two nuts to take off (one on each side) behind the carpet and such, not hard to findWait, Is that a V6 or V8?
1990 Chevrolet C-K 1500 series 4.3L .. 5spd
1994 JDM Euno Roadster 1.8L 5spd Bolt Ons.. etc

Yep, pull back the carpet on the inside and take off your tail lights and the nuts holding on the panel.
For painting, skip to section two:

Since you'll be painting over existing paint, you'll want to wetsand the panel with some 600 grit first and clean it up real good with dawn before priming.

okay ima wet up some but all I could find was 800 grit im assuming it'd work just as well. Question again I got some Rustoleum Enamel ( Flat White ) Now when I sand off the clear coat do I need some primer or can I just spray the whole can on the panel, and when im done do I havta apply a clear coat since im going flat white?

Re: Camaro Panel remove and paint
You can skip the primer in this case. And you won't actually be sanding off the clear coat, only roughing it up. 800 grit will do the trick, but make sure you are generous with the water. Constantly rinse the sandpaper to keep it from clogging.
Clear coat is still a good idea for the best overall finish and best chance of holding up. If you want to keep the flat sheen, you'd need to get a flat clear coat. Personally I'd probably go with a satin clear as white is already a much less reflective color than others.

OMG you're a genius and how long should I let it sit before I start to put the emblems back on and put the panel back onto the car?... Oh yeah I have two stripes on my car that are stickers and have been on there for about 4 yrs... how can I get those off... or can I just paint over them until it's flush
