Are there any full-length t-top A-pillar gauge pods that are a replacement for the stock one? Or do they all just mount on top of the stock A-pillar?

    I'm looking for a 2-gauge pod for a 2002 Firebird with T-Tops

they do make full gauge pods for t tops...not hardtops...at lease they didn't. but you can mod the ttop pod to fit hardtops.

the full a piller pod didn't have anything kind of mounting clips so i just left my old a pillar in the car, cut a hole in it for wires to run threw and put 3 screws the pillars. it's nice and tight. i painted the screws black so you can't even tell they are there.

this pic was before i made the screws flush

Do any of those replace the stock A-pillar or do they mount over it? I was told the one from AutoMeter mounts over the stock one, and I'd really prefer not to be destroying the stock parts as I'll be saving them all for later if I ever need them.

My gauge A-piller cover attaches to the stock A-piller. It says to drill holes to attach, but I'm going to try using GM velco, like is used on the interior panels.
