If you're talking about the ones on the b-pillar, it isn't an option, the paint was trashed not just under where the old ones were, but also surrounding the old vinyl. I actually went through 5 different designs with my vinyl guy and that was the only thing we could really come up with, in the end I'm happy with it though.
the old ones? it wouldn't have had any on it stock... somebody must have put some on it
You can sort of see the smudge on the b-pillars that's where the old ones were. I sort of like having something there though, it differentiates the car a little. I'm toying with the idea of wrapping the entire hoop in carbon fiber, but I'm afraid it would look tacky.
It isn't actually a smudge on the car, trust me if it were that easy it would be long gone. The paint around where the old birds were is actually discolored. So I covered them, out of sight out of mind. I wonder how it would look to wrap the hoop in matte black...hmm...
sorry to bring the thread back from the dead but you could always paint the pillar black and be done with the emblem and smudge all together. Just a thought.
I have toyed with that idea, but I don't think the black hoop looks right on the firebirds, it is more of a camaro thing. And like I said before, I like the big 3rd gen birds, it is something that no other firebird has and it isn't overly tacky in my opinion. As a side note, the car is down in FL with me now and has since gotten SFC's and some other goodies.
Hey everyone! I've been trying to remove my transmission for two days now! I need to replace the clutch. Only thing I've got left holding the transmission...
Hello, so I changed the front bearings on the bird and the ABS inoperative light came on. I made a mistake of not removing negative battery cable. Now...
I usually have to double, triple my headlight switch for them to come up on my 97 Firebird. I cleaned all connections. Could it be the headlight switch...
