some light touch-ups

just a couple of quick DIY mods i had a few extra minutes to do, lemme know what you guys think:

painted the billet gloss black and clear coated, old nose badge (maybe now kristen will love me lol)

scrapped the faded carbon fiber badge and went with this from emblempros

pulls the front together nicely i think

and did the same for my WJ (lots of work in progress)

im thinking about painting the area directly behind the grille black as well to pull things together and possibly adding back in some stainless camaro letters like i had before the accident. gonna be re-niteshading my tails, sides, and 3rd brake soon and a few other cosmetic things while i save up for bigger plans

Nice choice in nose badge. ;)

I like the grill but in my opinion don't paint behind it black. At least not rattle canned. I hate seeing nice cars with cheap rattle canned paint in a sloppy line behind the grill. Id leave it. Otherwise nice!!!

haha i was waiting for you to chime in...kinda got the idea from your SS when i was digging thru threads. i figured you'd like it :cool:

yeah im debating on the bumper thing. im pretty solid with paint work so we'll see, but as of now its just a thought. much much still to be done

i went with the stainless etched too, it looks amazing so i couldnt pass it up.

trust me, its my biggest peeve about the whole car. here in VA we cant get away without the front plate and i know, it looks terrible, but its better there than in the middle of my grille with zip ties.

oh yeah, and as far as the condition of the plate...i know, i know.

at my gf's old sketchy apartment complex some drunken douchebags decided they didnt like a nicer car parked in the back and decided to try and rip off my license plate and keyed the car (as if she hasn't been through enough in the past year). it was while my jeep was out of commission for throwing a rod and had to dd the 'maro for a while. we wont discuss how pissed i was/still am on that one.

Damn that sucks dude people just can't have anything nice. What I would do is attach the license plate to the air dam. I need one in my state to but I been running for years without issues so I don't care.

i've thought about that but since the car is lowered you can barely see it. i'm in the running for a position at one of the local police departments so i gotta check about that and make sure im good.

agreed it would, im always up for suggestions and you've always had good input on my appearance mods. but i've currently got my heart set on an SS spoiler, just need to save up the cash and its definitely going on.

ahh i see. no issues whatsoever and i've had them for a couple of years. when the car was hit they even ordered brand new ones for me so the ones i'm running now are actually only about a year old. great looks, great light output, they turn heads everywhere, and they werent hard to install. i did them and the ones in my jeep in probly about an hour a piece.

really the hardest part is just wiring up the hids to everything and splicing the halos into the parking lights so you can run them separately from the low beams. so basically, during the day i run just the halos and you can see them great, and at night, the lows and fogs come on with them and light everything up. i did the same setup in my jeep and got my buddy to actually help me solder all the connections neatly.

i actually checked out those halos a while back, im not sure how i like them with the hockeystripe look with the halos until i see some in person, but i have seen an STI around here with similar ones and it always grabs my attention, so i say why not.
