I started off with brand new gm headlights. Bought the projectors. Shroud. True hid conversion d2s bulbs and morimoto ballasts. Paint and clay. Wiring harness and a few odds and ends.

I quiver at the thought of going back to bone stock lights. They're horrible and you can't see anything lol

Haven't had a need for anything other than a clear set of stock headlights. And I drive through many wooded backroads year-round. Retrofit projector lights are a good project and can produce useful results, but often leave car looking strange. Unvmyrs's is one of the better looking examples, along with the original C6 retrofit done years ago on tech, but can also leave the front end looking unfinished.
I'll be picking up another set of Depo factory style lenses in the near future. If I didn't have two other cars burning up my extra funds, I might attempt a similar retrofit. But so far, I haven't had a need to go beyond stock either.
