I ordered a new screaming chicken and "Firebird" letters for the rear filler panel.
This will be the fourth version of the filler panel back there for my car. I like the letters and bird to be deep, bright red. The sun here does a number on them after a few years.
I have an extra filler panel. I just wet-sanded off the original painted-on letters and bird. The paint just quickly dissolved away as I sanded wet-with 2000 sandpaper.
I solemnly swear I am up to no good.
