Re: Leather/suede wrapped interior
So here are my thoughts right now as I am trying to get a sample book from Katzkins of all their different materials.
I am thinking about taking these two types of vents in the two pictures below and covering them in a black suede (not the actual vent itself, just the pieces that snap into the dash that hold the actual vent piece)
For the last pic of the console I plan to do the entire console in black leather, and make the part I circled in red a light silver coloured leather. I've been tossing around doing the ash tray lid in a suede to.
Also, the panel that houses the gauge cluster and HVAC control on our cars I am gunna make the same light silver colour I think.
Now, I've been thinking of moving the HVAC controls down to the cubby hole area, and having 3 gauges (2 afr and my Aeroforce) in the HVAC slot and I was going to wrap the entire cubby hole in leather as one piece so that you wouldnt know there is a seperate plate their (like the 6LE plate) as it would look as if it is molded as one piece
otherwise I would have to put the gauges down in that spot...but I feel like thats kind of low to be looking at gauges all the way down there.
What do you guys think about all of it?
