I have messed with this stupid "cover" on the center console on my 2000 Firebird on two different occasions for about a half hour each time and cannot get it off... I want to take the thing off so I can fabricate something over the cubby hole thing.
*Overuse of the word "thing"*:spank:
The picture attached, the yellow circles is what I have accomplished. The two near the bottom are the two 7mm bolts that are under the coin holder... The other one is the removal of shift knob and position of the shifter.
The RED "circle" thing is where the issue is. The whole console moves except for right there, on the right side where the two fascias meet. It does not move... I don't even know how you would begin to get in there if there is a bolt.
ANY input would be appreciated.
EDIT: Also removed the ash tray from under the lid and the cigarette lighter from its hole.
