"tried being different, car looks like crap now. wheels with wrong offset and cheap ABS plastic everywhere" goodluck, have fun.

dressing up an fbody like a vette? makes no sense, its a wheel lol(i guess VW guys use saw blades because they want to be a c4 vette!!) I forgot you guys dont ahve v8s, there for its ok to use altezza tails and underglow according to this guy.
        Me to. :)

I love how you generalize and pretty much label folks that decide on body kits or other exterior modifications as rice yet your perfectly okay with using a set of Z06 rims and widening up the rear on a V6 car..... That sounds very ricey to me, we should also throw some wheelie bars back there to.

At least the VW guys make sense while modding their cars. My hats always go off to them and the work they do.

my logic: low, vette wheels, not a v8, but can still be low and clean(maybe a wide cowl?).
your logic: not a v8, add anything because it wont be muscle (altezza tails, splitts and canards, 17" generic wheels with rivets and neon caps)

Seriously man check yourself before you try and check someone else.....

Your logic=Poser, imitation, unoriginal and lacks identity.

My logic=Original, different has a lot of personality and carisma.

The problem is the whole 4th gen community is drinking the Z06 koolaid and thinks its sooo cool to slap a set of Z06's or ZR1's on their cars when it fact all its doing is living up to the rep of being the "poormans vette" I also say its a bit hypocritical to that they'll be quick to bash someone putting a body kit on their car and calling it Rice yet they a basically doing the same damn thing to their car cause it sure as hell ain't no damn vette so why the hell does it got the wheels? Because it looks cool?

Truth/Fact and opinion are two seperate things, in case you didnt know.

The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines muscle cars as "any of a group of American-made 2-door sports coupes with powerful engines designed for high-performance driving."

I'd say that also includes the GN/GNX drivetrain since it was designed to be and is a high performance setup.

I was unaware that improving you traction/contact patch was ricey.

Maybe you should consider joining that community then. I'm sure they will like your German wheels.

Pfft, yeah bro nobody has ever put a body kit on a camaro before, i'll so stand out.

You complain about people not doing what they want to because of supposedly being hounded by the majority, yet if sombody wants a nice set of chrome wheels and they happen to be off a vette then it's not ok??? Are you listening to yourself?! When did you become the car mod police you frickin hypocrite?

So let me get this straight according to what your saying, a set of wheels and a body kit are the same thing. Great use of reason and logic.

so i have a friend who has the rs lipkit off his camaro he would sell me for 500 dollars. the only down side is i have to get it painted and get a new front bumper. or i go with a splitter kit for around 700-800 and just need a new front bumper and i have more of a one off camaro..... http://6litereaterdesigns.com/store/...roducts_id=106 what do you guys think?
Looks like the OP was looking for opinions, and I dont see anywhere in this thread that body kits where directly attacked. What was attacked was the idea of poor taste. People where simply refrencing the unfinished apperence that the splitter kit had. Nobody here told the OP that he could not do what he wanted with his car, and in a few posts that was actually encouraged.
