so i have a friend who has the rs lipkit off his camaro he would sell me for 500 dollars. the only down side is i have to get it painted and get a new front bumper. or i go with a splitter kit for around 700-800 and just need a new front bumper and i have more of a one off camaro..... http://6litereaterdesigns.com/store/...roducts_id=106 what do you guys think?
Thats freakish expensive for the RS kit. I got mine off Craigslist for $300 tops, you could buy the kit new at that price. I wouldn't mind going with the 6LR kit to add to my RS Setup but it wouldn't work on the front since I got LS1 canards on an LT1 nose.
Offer him $300 max. If he doesn't take it walk away.
Id say go with the RS kit, be advised that the retarded clips will break often and the double sided tape isn't really effective but that might be because Colorado roads are unforgiving for cars like mine. I'm planning on glassing everything to the body someday and repainting either black again or blue with stripes now that I'm rockin blue salad shooters anymore. But they are worth it though. It looks better than the typical Wannabe SS look most do for their cars.
I really don't care for the 6LE splitter/canard setup. It just doesn't look right on our cars. If it were a road course or even a standing mile car, then it would have a functional splitter (I.E. adjustable angle) and not this stuff which is essentially appearance only.
I'd rather spend my cash elsewhere like on a set of Strano springs.
It's your car bro. Do what you think looks good, as long as you do it well, I don't care if your car is hot pink with lime green flames, as long as the car is maintained, the work was done well, and you'll stand next to it and say proudly to any of the nay sayers that it is your car and they can all suck it.

+1
It's your car, make it how you want it. A car should reflect the owners personality, not the steriotype of every other car like it..
People dress F-bodies up with RS/SS/Vette combos because they look awesome!
To OP: drop it down a little bit and go for some rims and fat tires as said above. There is a reason everyone does that.
My rims use to be Blue. Now I've got a set rims from Germany.
Now its even more original than going with the poser Z06 look and the big fat tires on the back.
People can call it rice but at least I can say its more original and its got a personality of its own. Hell even when it had the blue rims it still had its own footprint.
Than buy a Z28 or SS and quit trying to make a V6 look like a Muscle car when its not. Better yet quit trying to make an Fbody look like a Corvette.
You can't have a muscle car without the V8 sound.
Lol i cant wait how this turns out.
"tried being different, car looks like crap now. wheels with wrong offset and cheap ABS plastic everywhere" goodluck, have fun.
dressing up an fbody like a vette? makes no sense, its a wheel lol(i guess VW guys use saw blades because they want to be a c4 vette!!) I forgot you guys dont ahve v8s, there for its ok to use altezza tails and underglow according to this guy.
seriously man, read what your typing.
my logic: low, vette wheels, not a v8, but can still be low and clean(maybe a wide cowl?).
your logic: not a v8, add anything because it wont be muscle (altezza tails, splitts and canards, 17" generic wheels with rivets and neon caps)
So my truck is finally getting some work done, after 17 years, Oil pressure sensor went out and it’s located under the lower intake manifold. Have to...
