    Re: Plasti Dip wheels.

New to this: where can I get some? I'd love to do my wheels in white.

If you go onto the manufacturers website it lists all of the stores that carry their product.

Found some cardboard and masked it off. Did first coat now waiting the 30 mins for the second.

                      Re: Plasti Dip wheels.

The way I did it was.1st coat was light, waited 10 minutes, 2nd coat was light waited 30 minutes, 3rd coat was heavy waited 10 minutes, and the 4th coat was heavy. I let the wheels set over night before putting them back on the car.

So this is something you can get at Homedepot? Is it better than the ones they sell at Pep Boys, like the Dupli-color for wheels?

                        Nice job.

Okay so I did like it recommended on the can, coat 30 minute wait, coat 30 minute wait etc five coats and now letting it dry overnight. I really do like the texture and color! It will look great!

Also, I bought it at Home Depot. The guys didn't even know what it was so I had to search for it myself. It was in the cage allllll the way in corner bottom with spray paint.

Yeah home depot. I would say its better then actual wheel paint because, theres no sanding or priming just clean and spray and if you dont like it you can just peel it off and have the factory look with no damage to the finish.

Ill have some pics up tomorrow for you guys of the car with the wheels on, they look awesome.

Its great for protection. I personally don't like it but if used right it could look great.

I agree, after I played around with it before hitting the wheels I figured out how lay it down nicely.
