wheatland yellow... when i painted my car the first time, i got my paint from some morons who were "hooking me up" and the color was "corvette yellow" but its not actually the wheatland yellow off corvettes. and i'm painting the top black.

so uh 6 months later. i'm about to paint my car lol. should be laying down the black tonight. then finishing up tomorrow with yellow and clear.

Give us some details when you get time. Did you do any body work like taking out any dents? Sanding / priming before the base coat?

i epoxied my front bumper back together where it cracked from a metal pole flying down the road. just sanded the epoxy down like it was filler. i shaved the antennae. and i fixed a dent under the driver side door on the rocker panel. blocked everything with 400.
sanded filler with 80 then 180, then sprayed a couple of coats of rattle can primer. then a guide coat. then sanded smooth with (wet)400. only used primer where it was needed.

thanx, i wish i painted all the time, because i always forget little tricks like for instance... laying down that black base coat. i could still see light sanding marks through it... everything i've done recently has been single stage enamel. and they cover the scratches.... on a base coat/clear coat job. especially black. you can still see 400 scratches but if you pour water over the base coat, (after it has time to flash off) its like a temporary clear coat, and it will show you what the clear will cover up. i was freaking out a little bit until i remembered that. tonight all the magic happens. sucks that i'm going to hafta clean up so much overspray.
