What are my options on a 2000 firebird?

    Re: Body kits

I would lower your car rather than a body kit, you'll like the handling of the lowering springs.

X2 on this. My car scrapes unless I'm really careful as it is (I'm sure it's sagging a bit as I think I probably need new springs myself so probably not completely stock height and no body kit) I would much rather lowering springs if I wanted to close the ground gap more. If you're bent on the body kit there is the west wings kit and a couple others were popping up on sites during some google searches. If you don't have the ram air hood I'd do that first if you want to improve the body look. I love birds with the ram air.

Your stock suspension wont be able to handle the Lowering springs, so be prepared for that if you go that route.
        Wait, Is that a V6 or V8?

What would I need to change in the suspension for lowering springs...? And any brand suggestions?

Also, where would be the cheapest route for a ram air hood? Maybe Certi-fit?

            Re: Body kits

Body kits are lame. I bottom the air dam out on my car everythime I leave a parking lot. A body kit would make it worse. Maybe a stock Trans am side skirts but thats it.

Strano Springs are awesome and are by far the best. I have heard nothing nothing but good things about them. Guy that designed them has won numerous SCCA titles. Little pricey over just MOOGS but they are good. I plan on buying them next spring when I pull the K member again.

What else would need to be modified with them?

                Re: Body kits

You really don't need anything modded to run lowering springs, just get new shock tower bushings for the front for install. Maybe better shocks than decarbons.

Well that's what I meant, replaced rather than modified. Someone said the stock suspension cannot handle the springs; just wanted to know what else would be needed.

                    Re: Body kits

Its the stock shocks that can't handle the springs, better to do them all at once shocks/springs.

Strano seems to be a good choice , which are Blisteins.
