not even chanceing that one, I've broken enough drivetrain related parts lol.

I did just remove that front bracket I pointed out earlier, the one that sits directly infront of the hood release and above the windshield washer fluid and bolts to the front bumper.

Anyways, that with bolts was worth 2lbs

That's one of the things I would like to do over the winter. Chop the exhaust just after the cat (I leave my cutout open at the rear axle anyways as is) and get rid of the whole cat back. I'll probably throw a bullet muffler on just after the cat for that 4db reduction in sound lol.

I think I read I can ditch about 35lbs or so like this. Plus the no tip look is starting to grow on me

            Re: Extreme Weight Reduction

Got the car weighed in today just to give me a baseline of where I am sitting. 3140 in it's current race trim which includes no back seats/sail panels/door skins/trunk divider. (passenger seat has been re-installed)

so if my math is correct she is sitting at roughly 3204 in street trim. The car has just under a 3/4 full tank of gas

Not too bad because I know the ford 8.8 definetly added a good 40-50lbs easily to the car.

Now the trick will be plugging away to eventually get this thing down to 2700lbs

A light weight hood would do you some good. With all that gas will cost you some weight also.

I wish this thing was that light,3500lbs with a full tank of fuel 3750 race weight.

Me and the car need a diet;)

lol, that weight wasn't with me in it. It was 3270 with me inside.

I definetly want to pickup a hood next year.

                    Re: Extreme Weight Reduction

There is some brace that bolts on the underside with 4 bolts and goes just underneath the exhaust in the tunnel that I removed to clean up and just recently found underneath my shop cabinets. I ran without it (unknowingly) for a couple years and sold the car without it. *shrug* With the SFCs and STB, it's probably not a big deal, might consider ditching it yourself.

The flimsy piece of metal was there when the 2 piece diveshaft was there, pretty sure he has a alm. driveshaft now, so it can come off if he hasn't already taken it off yet.

Gotcha. I had it off when I put the aluminum driveshaft in as well, but it got lost under the cabinets in the process. Sounds like I'm in the clear for function.

Haven't seen pictures in a while of your car, but the plastic SS spoiler I had to replace my stock spoiler was quite a bit lighter if you haven't addressed that area yet.
