Does anyone know any place to order a rear glass for a 2000 Camaro V6 coupe WITH a defogger? I've found ONE glass locally without it but I have to have one with it. I'd REALLY appreciate any help. I'm NOT LOOKING for a used one or from a junkyard. The local installer will only put in a new one if I can find it and have it shipped so please DO NOT suggest a used one of a junkyard. Thanks!

Have you tried places like Safelite? Just search the yellow pages for glass repair shops, I'm sure they vary greatly state to state so most peoples suggestions may not apply. -

i was thinking the same thing zlexiss.
I don't know of any one company right off hand, but i would just start calling around. I'm sure somebody somewhere makes them. Since it would be the same for the camaro and they did them unchanged for over 10 years, i would think it would be a common part.Comment

Safelite says no one is making them period. I've called every local shop and they all said the same thing. They can get the glass without the defogger but that won't work. I tried getting a used hatch and found one but it would have to be painted to match and my car has a factory 3-stage mystic teal paint job. It'd cost a fortune. Because I've seen how mine was glued in. There's no way to get a used one out without SOME damage being done to the factory tint at the top of the window. I want a new one.2000 Camaro V6<br />I\'ve done nothing to my car worth note. :)Comment

You apparently missed the part where I answered that. My car has a factory 3 stage mystic teal paint job. I could get the entire hatch but painting it the right color would cost more than the entire job.
I was able to find a guy on Ebay that has just the glass with the defogger but he wants $1,000 for it and I'd have to drive 9 hours to get it and then 9 hours home. :(2000 Camaro V6<br />I\'ve done nothing to my car worth note. :)Comment

when i got the glass from my hatch swapped to my carbon fiber hatch there was no damage at all to anything. Shops were more afraid of installing to the carbon fiber hatch if anything. Disassembley from he original hatch was a breeze for them...it all depends who you go by and whos willing to help you outComment
