  • 12,000 HIDs for the high beams

So right now I have 6k hids in the lows and highs, both stay on when i hit the high beams. So im going to install 12k in the highs. Figured on these dark back roads theyll light it up well. I use the stock headlights. Havent found any other aftermarket headlights for 93-97 Camaro.

Take a before and after shot showing the lighting difference in a dark area so we can see how mich more light output you get?

It’s too bad that they don’t make a led light for our cars yet- the LED headlights on my Jeep make me not want to drive any other vehicle at night- especially in deer infested areas

Now im thinking of doing a 55 watt kit and using 10k for the higjs, i didnt know how much the difference in the 35 and 55 watt were. What do you guys think? I just dont want a redish color from the 12k.

Got the kits, got them rtv'd in the housings, and the ballasts and wiring ran. I like the slim ballast compared to the ones I had. I forgot to take a before pic, just the one in my avatar is the only one, but ill get a pic of the new ones tomorrow night.

So there wasn't too big of a difference with the 10k hids being turned on. First pic inside the car was 6k and the second was with the 10k on also, I dont know why the lows stay on with the highs. I haven't done anything to the wiring. With normal headlights the lows are suppose to be off when the highbeams are on. Hope you like the pics, I was also on a slant taking them. Seems like theres no flat roads except for the highway around here. Also found out my reverse lights are out.

Yeah, you're right. I wouldn't be able to tell which is which, but I sure would hate to cross in front of you or you to be driving behind me. Lol

Are they blinding to ther drivers? Or do they have cutoff so they stay low enough they aren’t blinding?

I havent driven it at night yet, with the 6k on I should be fine. I drove the truck last night, didn't have my tail lights done yet on the Camaro, Im thinking of getting LEDs for the truck , you have pics of your lighting on your Jeep, Mike?
