  • Ceramic coating vs. Wax

Have any of you guys used ceramic coating. I used to use hydrosilex. It's rated #2 as one of the best ceramic coating. It worked pretty good and it was pretty easy to apply compare to wax. It beads water pretty good and its shine lasted twice and even 3x as long as the wax. My only complain is that it doesn't hide the blemishes and the minor scratches as good as the wax. I was happy with it for awhile till I bought Fusso 99 meant for dark color cars. It's acar wax made in Japan. They called it the king of wax and it said that you only need to apply it once a year.

Compare to ceramic coating it beads water just as good, but it shines even better and it hides the blemishes better too. The only drawback to it is that it's hard to apply. The instructions said to let it dry for 5 minutes and then wipe it off, but when I did that it was hard to wipe off. So what I did was apply it in small area and then wipe it off while it's still wet.

When I first applied it I was disappointed because it didn't look that good to me, but after a day or two the shine got better. It's been 4 months now and it's still shiny and it still beads water really well.

It’s supposed to be better and I have a buddy who swears by it, but I haven’t used it myself yet... contemplating putting it on my new truck though
