I had my windows tinted today, and the guy that did it said that on about 3/4 of the firebirds he had done, the tint wouldn't stick to those little "dots" on the hatch window where the glass fades into the black surround. It isn't like a big ugly-a$$ air bubble or anything, it just looks like a little shiny spot. Anyone else have a problem with this?

yes that topic has been discussed alot here its called the dot matrix. try a search.\"Well, we don\'t care how bad-*** some dude\'s N/A Honda S2000 motor is; if you go up against 900+ pushrod ponies and 750 pounds of earth-shaking torque with a wrong-wheel-drive econobox, you\'re gonna get a fast and furious old-school ***-whipping.\"

some tint shops simply dont know how to handle the dot matrix. Several solutions are discussed in these threads:

i don't know if it'll help you out any, but to get around that problem with mine, i just had a buddy of mine drop a strip of gloss black vinyl down enough to cover the dots...i have 5% on the back glass, so the black vinyl matches up well...out of sight, out of mind...1999 Navy Blue Metallic Camaro<br />with some stuff done to it
