  • Took my stripes off, you can see where they were

I took my sripes off and after about 15 washes, (not counting all the scrubbing and scraping I had to do to get the adhesive off) you can still see where the stripes used to be. The paint looks newer. The stripes were on for only 7 or 8 months. I have waxed the car since the stripes were on. What can I do to make the car look uniform? Do I need to take it to get buffed polished and waxed? Is there something I can do at home to make it all look uniform?

Let me tell you, my car has never been this clean before. I washed it 12 times in the past two days.

I took the stripes off because they werent perfect. I plan on putting them back on in the Spring. My car isn't as much of a cop magnet anymore. I'll get pics up soon so people can tell me whether I should put the stripes back on or whether I should go with the clean look. If I get GFX I dont know if it would be better to put the stripes on or to leave them off. \

    Thanks

yea it should come right back with it professionally buffed out. Why did you take the strips off anyway? Looked good with the strips I thought.

I definatly understand you on the cop magnet thing... I was driving around with a primer hood for awhile.

The problem was the wax I put on over the stripes. On monday i'm having my whole car Re-coned and i'm having the nitrous install neatened up.. They have a lift to Re-run and re-mount the lines and modules.
For the total: Spot compound wax, under body cleaning, wax and buff, interior shampoo and detailing 150 dollars.
Nitrous install 150 bucks. Including a spark plug install.
The guys at these small dealertships love fun nitrous jobs.
