I am wondering if the general opinion on these is that they are cheesy, or does anyone have one or saw one that looks tasteful. I know a real one would be cool and the look of the 70's shaker scoops would be very unique on a modern car, kind of a retro modern thing. Anyone done or saw that done?

NO! NONONONO! SWEET GOD NO! Fake hood scoops lean more toward ghey than rice. In most cases you can just look and tell they are glued on to the hood and don't do crap. Waste of $$$. Spend the cash on go-fast parts!!

http://www.cardomain.com/id/nitroxxx28

fake scoops are hideous... they look totally out of place, they all look stuck on, they never look flush.. and basically make your car look cheap...
just look at the 2 pictures posted above... they both look disgusting 97 camaro
black, 5 speed, t-tops, rockford fosgate cd w/4X6.5\" rockford speakers, 3\" flowmaster american thunder catback with 3\" carsound cat, SLP CAI, B&M Ripper w/leather Hurst shift knob, 5% tint.
http://camaroz28.cardomain.com/id/ianwells100

What the heck is that thing with the teeth?? Hopefully just the result of a Halloween party mixed with alcohol. Pyro, I think yours look pretty good, which brand and size are they because that is the idea I was thinking about. But to everyone else, I would say point taken and my opinion would be the same 97% of the time. But like Pyro's car, I think it can also be tastefully done.
