  • removing entire dash

Was wanting to repaint my interior, and since I want to do it once and right the first time, I am needing some help with removing the dash. I can get all the other panels out and free, but I tried unbolting all I could find on the dash and was wondering if there was a trick. I also am cautious of the airbags.

^^^^True. Just took apart a Grand am dash last week. We (me and my uncle) were so careful but still end up with 8-10 extra screws.

i dont see it necessary as to remove the entire dash to paint the interior. unless your painting the entire dash?!

just take off the panels you want painted and do it that way. piece by piece

I was hoping to do that, but I want to change the color of the interior to the black or ebony instead of the graphite gray. Want more of a contrast with my artic white exterior. But without being able to remove the dash, I don't see it as being feasible

I am guessing yes, but would the general consensus be that to change the interior color and leave the main dash graphite would look tacky?
