• next crazy idea...

well i'm still trying to figure out ways to make my bird just look a bit different from the others. I just put on the sequential tail lights and they look pretty awesome *from sequentialturnsignals.com*. anyways, when i was taking off my rear lights i noticed the back panel that has the firebird logo and the bird on there is just empty space on the inside. i've always liked how the sunfire's PONTIAC logo lights up, and was wondering if this is even possible to do with the firebird logo and if it is, who would i look to do the job?? and even though i'm afraid to ask, what's everyone's opinion on this one?

Not to burst your bubble but someone has thought of this before and I'm pretty sure done it . But I always say if you thought of it on your own it's still original even if someone all ready thought of it. I should be a good board member and find the posts for you but I'm lazy. It was done before on a camaro and they cut out the letters and put a lexan? backing on it and then mounted a neon light to turn on either with the brake lights or with the tail lights. Good luck

someone did it w/ a bird too. they used fiber optics to make the bird light up. he also used a spinning wheel w/ different colors so it has a color changing effect.

yea, ive seen a camaro one cut out with lexan on it, and it had a green neon behind it.

but still, do it up. spinning wheel may be too tacky.

a black light on a toggle switch would look badass with all the other lights off on the car, and in a dark parking lot. just a black bird. that would be sweet

Ok, I am not usually one that likes light stuff on cars (like neon and such things) but these sequential lights are pretty neat.

I bet there is a way to hook that up without buying an $85 kit. It looks like the key is that sequencer box. If you look at the wiring diagrams they have at the site that sequencer is the important part.

I bet you could buy the parts at Radio Shack and do it yourself for a lot cheaper.

If anyone figures it out post instructions and let me know

                    hey blkbird,
Yea, there's sequential kits that come on with the brakes too, the one i have doesn't. u can just email the guy and i'm pretty sure he can wire one up.

Sequential brakes? That just doesn't sound safe. Wouldn't you rather your brakes be as bright as possible as fast as possible?

Edit: On second thought, my reasoning behind blackouts still being safe is the third brake light. So as long as you have a good third brake light and one bright bulb on each side your better off than me
