  • Turtle Wax?

    Hey All,

So I was visiting Advanced Auto Parts today and I saw a product made by turtle wax that contained a "chip stick" with it. It is supposed to be used to mark over the rock dings and suck and make them disappear. Does anybody use this stuff, or ever tried it. I love meguire's NXT wax and I just want to know if the turtle wax stuff actually works before I spend any money one it! Just let me know, Thanx

turtle wax has some very nice products, but i'd say thats not one of them (the chip stick that is), at least not if youre going for a high quality fix. it may cover the chips for a short time, but that crayon like stuff is going to fall right out after a while. touch up paint or a repaint even, would be a lot better. try it though, if you'd like.

yea clean the body, then use touch-up paint if you want it done right. I never suggest the quick, temporary fixes, unless you dont have the money to fix.

        That chip-stick is a crayon.
I tried this stuff and was not impressed,
at least on a black car.

All those crayons/sticks/tubes always wash off fairly quickly and hold moisture in, which helps *tada* rust form. Not to mention the "fix" looks like crud.

As the others said, use TU paint.
