  • A cover for -- After T-TOPS off???

One of my friends said he saw (on ebay) something to cover that area when the t-tops are off. Has anyone ever heard of this?

Sun shades exist for when the t-tops are in and you don't want the extra sun coming through... maybe that's what he's talking about.. but the whole point of t-tops is to have the top open.. nevah hoid of it.

No...it still lets the light in, it covers the center bar, so instead of see those "holes" next to the center bar, it looks like you have a solid piece over the "holes". This is tough to explain.

This is pointless. If you don't want sun to come in, keep the shades in the t's and don't take the them off...

So it basically fills in the "holes" between the body and the rubber grommets, but still keeps the top open? Do they latch in or are they just velcroed in or something? Have a link so we can see what you are talking about?

Steve----you have the idea, yea he said it lached in there somehow. And no i dont have a link, thats why i brought the topic up.

SANDMAN----the SUN still comes in, this piece i am talking about does not affect the light coming into the car.

I didnt think this was going to be this hard to understand? Dont get all pissed off, i am not even sure if this thing exists. I just heard about it, so i thought i would bring it up.

I looked all over ebay in their current and completed auctions.. only thing I even close I could find were the convertible top covers. If your buddy can find us a link, that would be cool..

Nobody is upset here, I'm just telling it like it is.
If you do have sun shades and keep them in, the only way sun get will get in is from the side and front/rear windows, not the top.

I know exactly what you're talking about by your discription and I think it's a great idea but I've never seen/heard of it. I would imagine your friend spotted custom fabricated ones because you'd think someone would have heard of them

this does NOT cover up where the ttops come OFF.

the only thing it does is cover up the UGLY GROVES THAT ARE LEFT FROM THE REMOVAL OF THE TTOPS.
I dont even freakin HAVE ttops and I understand this stuff, cmon guys, read.

i've seen what you're talking about. Two versions actually. 1 is just like the t-top panels but without tint.

the other was just these plastic sheets that fit inside of the t-top opening where the sun shades go, but I saw them way back when I first got interested in camaros. I haven't seem them since, and since I don't have a t-top'd camaro I haven't really bothered looking unfortunately.
