hey guys....
yesterday i was driving home, and one of my headlights burned out.
now, for some time i had been dissapointed with the brightness of my lights. so i got creative.
i went to autozone, and bought 4 sylvania silverstar bulbs. (number 9005 they are 70 watts a piece)

then once i got home, i hollowed out the back of the sealed unit bulbs with my dremmel. once that was done, i put in the silverstar, and jb (quick)welded it up. i had to trim a little bit of the plastic on the bulb to get at the electrical connections on the bulb and wire them into the existing firebird headlight plugs. all in all it proved to be very difficult, and took about an hour per bulb. but if you're a wizard with the dremmel, and are really carefull not to shatter the sealed glass unit, and just make that little dime sized circle in the back to remove the existing bulb, and insert the silverstar, it's doable. the pic below is next to my buddies new mustang. he has his brights on...and my firebirds are twice as bright. (and we all know how crazy bright ford lights are)let me know what you guys think.
