Next summer I want to try and make flush headlight for my firebird (98+). What kind of cars have you seen with a headlight enclosure that is similar to the firebird's healdight housing.
So far i have noticed that a model of taurus might work, focus, stratus r/t, and a couple hondas. I'm going to research this more later.
For now, what cars have you noticed with similar headlight housings?
first search result that popped up. They're pretty pricey though. A custom job might be cheaper and would be alot funner for sure. Depending on how good you are at this kind of thing it could turn out looking better and more how you want it.
What paintjob is that on your car? One of the pics it looks blue compared to the rest
edit: I can't seam to find them for sale on they're site but they have a pic.

its blue/green chamelion, its going to get repainted in the summer with my next set of mods. A ram air hood, T/A rear bumper, custom flushmount headlights, and a couple other little things that i will come up with
i was considering those lights but it might be more fun to make my own (and cheaper). You can also see them on www.rksport.com for $999.
I made a paper cut out of my firebird headlight cover and im going to go to car dealerships and see if any fit. If they don't then i may just have to buy a set, because i dont know how to mold plexiglass for the cover... i wonder if rksport would just sell the cover, the rest would be easy to make. I'll shoot them an email tomorrow.
heres an update for you guys following, so far, the closest light to fitting would be a 2004 civic, then it was a 2004 taurus, then with a little more modification, a pt cruiser, and several other cars.
but so far the civic cover looks extremly close to the firebirds. the 2002s look close too, but i like how the 04s lights are on the inside. Now i just have to figue out the best way to mount them and fiberglass them in, I'll photoshop it first to make sure it isnt going to look bad.
Have you thought about molding a headlight unit out of fiberglass and not putting a plexiglass cover on it? I found this for my car and have been thinking about making my own as another excuse to start using fiberglass
