• Bird Poop on Paint is worse than I thought

Ok we all know that if left untouched, bird poop on the paint is really bad. I was dumb enough to think that my paint had plenty of wax so I left bird poop on the middle of my hood for a few days before I washed my whole car. Well it's been over 100 degrees over here and today I realized how intensely bad bird poop is. It seriously ETCHED into my clearcoat and probably through the paint. Rubbing compound did not work so I had to wet-sand the spot to get it out.

It's smooth now but I will NEVER let bird poop sit on my paint ever again. Lesson learned!

SO here's my formula for getting bird stains out:

2000 grit wet-sand
3-M rubbing compound
Polish
Wax

well i washed the next day after my last post and there was no damage. otherwise there would be some dead birds around my house. i spent 4 hours one day washing, waxing, and detailing my entire car, i pulled it out and it was like the bird was waiting for me..i parked in the driveway and not 2 seconds later a bird **** on it..i went ape****..i started throwing rocks into the tree where the bird was...my neighbors were like they thought i had gone insane..

DAMN!! CRAP!! FU(K!!! GEEZ!!! AAARRRRRGGGGG!!!!!

Ok, I thought I took care of that spot. I went to the garage right now and there is a pretty good layer of dust on my car and I happened to look at the spot now....IT'S STILL THERE!!!!! It completely etched into the paint!!!!!!! DAMN!!! BRAND NEW CAR!!!!

Well.....I guess now I have more incentive to get a Ram Air Hood. But that will take time. Until then I have to drive around with permanent bird ****!!!
