Thinking about painting my calipers

I just did the driver's side calipers yesterday. I would've finished but it was 101 here!! I started early in the morning for about 4 hours. It really isnt hard to do at all. I had mine painted so I had to get that off first. One thing I found is it's awfully hard to polish in those two tiny half circle areas on back of(not the semi-circles)the caliper :( I really could'nt shine that part up at all. If I was able to find another kind of pointed sandpaper attachment to use on the dremel it would've helped alot. Also I started with 60 grit bands on the dremel to get the paint off and then went to 240 grit sandpaper sheets like the one website instructions said. I shouldve did a 100 grit bands(had I seen it in the store)on the dremel then used to 240. I did used the 400 grit and the tripoli. I was left with some slight straight lines in the calipers because the 240 grit was too fine to remove the lins the 60 grit bands left :( So I will head to Home Depot this morning to get the 100 grit and finish the calipers tomorrow. I probably will go over the driver's side ones with the 100 then the 240....etc.
Luckily my calipers were pretty smooth to begin with so it didnt require alot of sanding and the paint came off fairly easy. I painted the brackets black because I read somewhere that those will shine up but eventually rust :(
Anyway I would recommend polishing them if anyone has the time :D
