  • Super Glue on Paint

Yeah it was stupid but I managed to get a little bit on my back bumper. Any suggestions before I go out there and try applying a bit of stuff from every bottle and spray can in my garage? WD-40 maybe? Clay bar?

WD-40 may eat the paint. how much did you get on there? is it stuck on real good? maybe use a plastic spoon or knife to scrape the stuff off.

I have no idea what so ever how safe it is for the paint... for all i know it could eat a hole right through the paint instantly, but i do know that hairspray took superglue right off my hands one day. I found that out by mistake... just a thought...

maybe dilute the hair spray really good. like 10 parts water 1 part hair spray, just to be safe.

I don't know if I would try to pick it off, it might take a piece of paint with it.

One thing that might help is take a hair dryer and heat it up real good and see if that might make it come off a little easier. I just wouldn't try and pick at it without heating it up first. Atleast I know when you heat a sticker up, it almost just slides right off the car, not sure if it will work the same way.

              Good luck.
