A little mod I did to my engine bay yesterday.....
A little mod I did to my engine bay yesterday.....
This isnt much but just thought I'd share it with you all. I had bought some decals but the darn things wouldnt stick despite me cleaning with soap and then rubbing alcohol and sanding :( . So I bought a blank stencil and cut the lettering and bird out with an exacto. I used a photo spray adhesive on the back of the stencil to hold it down on the lid enough so the paint wouldn't seep under. I think it turned out pretty good...what do you think?

Looks nice!! That's weird decals wouldn't stick. I had decals for my whisper lid and they stuck on fine... maybe different adhesive. Who knows! But it looks very nice :D

Looks great. Another thing that would look good is polishing the a/c thingy (silver thing on passenger side). I did mine and just used Mothers metal polish. Very nice 'bird.

Gerry...I was thinking about dressing up the engine bay more and I have seen the A/C thing polished too. Was it hard to polish up? I was trying to get some extra things done before SLP day this Saturday :D
LadyWS6..I dont know why the decals wouldnt stick....it was really odd since I cleaned the lid with rubbing alcohol, soap and sanded it lightly

It was very easy to polish. Just get some aluminum polish, a towel, and some elbow grease and about 20 minutes later it looks good.
