I have a badge on the back on the firebird that says the dealer I bought it from. I want to take it off, but I'm afraid I'll either mess up the spot it's at, or the paint underneith will be faded and show where it use to be. Has anybody done this, and have some suggestions on how to get rid of it. I'd really appreciate it

fishing line and a heat gun/ hair dryer. make sure it's nice and clean around the area first to get as much dirt and junk out as possible. then slip the fishing line under the badge and gently pry it off. kinda like how you used to pop baby teeth out many years ago! :D once it's off, clean up the spot and polish it up a bit.

Thanks buddy. I had messed with it before and it's seems lose, but I didn't want to just pull it off. Have you done this before? I'll try it later.

Have I done it to my car? No

I have helped friends with their dealer badges and a real fine fishing line seems to work best. If you have a heat gun or even a hair dryer, heating it up speeds up the process to get the adhesive nice and soft.

I'm sure others would tell you the same thing... also: if you don't have fishing line in the house there's always dental floss :D
