  • Removing letters from tail light blackouts

Here's a pic of my d/s blackout, the p/s is the same. On the bottom right of the piece is the word 'lund' the mfr. Anyone have a good way to remove this? It looks like s#it. It's white lettering, looks to be stamped on there. I don't want to damage the blackout by scratching it or staining it with a solvent.

edit: WOOOOHOOOOOO my 100th post :D

Well my GTS headlight covers the stickers peeled right off... If its stamped/painted on youve got a problem. There aint much you CAN do to get that off without hurting the plastic underneath and around it. Id try a stuff called GOO B GONE. SOMETIMES that takes that stuff off. Its citrus based if im not mistaken so it shouldnt hurt the palstic. Hope that helps a little

Try using a hairdryer to heat up the decal, if that doesnt work, rubbing alcohol might work

So far i've tried engine degreaser and rubbing alcohol. Neither one worked  .
But neither one damaged the plastic either, so that's good.
I'm going to get some of that goo-gone tomorrow.
Does anyone else have a suggestion?

Permanent black marker would be the easiest, but u will still see the letters when looking up close

Thanks to all for the replies.
I tried just about everything suggested, except the magic marker.......and nothing worked so I guess I'm stuck w/them the way they are.
