i kno zaino is really good, or even possibly the best, but it just seems like too much of a hassle to get and use.

Yes i've heard Zaino is the best money can buy. Most of the C5 owners on the corvette-forum only use zaino, but if your not rich, i higly recomend Meguiars Gold Class wax. Excellent.

Actually, Zaino (which is the best) will save you cash over time. You apply it so thin you can get 30+ coats out of one bottle (8 ounces). I will agree, the initial cost and prep-work is a PITA, but it is well worth it.
However.....if you are set on using wax for your car, I suggest using Mothers Caranuba. I tried several different kinds before I found this wax and it is the best IMHO.

believe it or not, consumer reports was right for a change about nu finish (paste). its glossy and does last a long time (about 3 months, the bottle claims a year). i compared it to liquid glass (wasnt rated), but it looks like nu finish is still glossier than liquid glass.
