I was wondering if this was an operational hood, or would I have to get like the FTRA kit or the Free Ram Air mod, etc.

When using FTRA or SLP under hood CAI, the functional vents in the hood offer more engine cooling while driving at high speed. As the CAI and the FTRA seal the airbox. Both the SLP CAI and the FTRA will out perform the hoods functionality.2000 Firebird. Whisper Lid, True duals, TSP mail order tune, Built Tranny , TCI 2800 stall verter, B&M tranny cooler, Eaton LSD, 3.42 gears.
