  • Painted Calipers!

It was a lot easier than I expected, but I really just haven't gotten around to doing it because I'm lazy.

Did this to the 3.4, gonna be doing it to my car soon.

Give some instuctions on how you did it. What you used and where you got the goods from.

Really easy. Just gotta get some high temp paint, loosen the lugs, jack it up. Then remove the wheels and spray some cleaner (i used degreaser). Tape everything off, then spray it. I put on 3 coats, and its holding up great from what i've seen of it. I have some more pics if you want them, just e-mail me.

Mind sending the pics to me as well? (dzas@dangerz.net)

I'm thinking of doing it to my car, and when I do, I'll write up something on it to help others out.

Hm.. I used some caliper paint, that was put on with a brush instead of spray.

So far the paint is awesome and glossy with ceramic in it.

BUT, I did the rear drums(balh) in black.

just degrease, sand, sand some more, clean clean some more. then paint with multiple coats.

                      Just like normal panting.

I don't think I've seen high temp primers.

When I did mine look ^^^^^^^, they looked fine after 1 coat, and it was a brush on so it was very thick also, but I put a second on to be safe.

If it gets on the rotor, it should burn off. Same with the pads. I'm pretty sure, someone will chime in.
