  • Lit or unlit switch

I'm going to get a switch panel from slow on this board and plan to order early this week. I'm getting a switch for a QTEC, a fan switch, and another one. This third one will control the power antenna I plan to install ('on' position will make it controlled by the head unit - goes up/down with it. 'off' position will make it stay down even if radio's on - like if I want to listen to CD's but don't want the antenna up which is most of the time).

The only thing I'm not sure about this third switch is whether or not I should have a light put in it. If you look at his site here you can see the different colors available. I can't decide between red (to match the tubing under my hood, eventual suspension that I'll hopefully get late this summer, and most of the lights on gauge cluster), amber (which I'm thinking is the same color as the fog-light's 'on' light (correct me if I'm wrong), or just plain black so I don't have to worry about a light like the other two will be.

Anyway, sorry it's so long, I just wanted to make sure everyone knew my plans for this to better influence their vote. So now that the polls are open, vote away.

you can always disconnect the ground wire, to turn the light off, for the antenna switch.

But i would get unlighted, only cause the lights are bright, and for something like an antenna switch, that will be up most of the time, its not needed, imho.
