  • Mecham Fitment

Ok, so i was really worried that it would fit like crap but i got it anyway. Well, it doesnt fit perfect but i dont think that where it fits bad is because of the hood, i think its more from the accident. I'm gonna do some more work on it to fix it but its only off in one place so i'm pretty happy. It looks great, I'll get some pics up soon for you guys to gawk at ;) .

accident? i gues I am out of the loop on this one.

those mecham hoods look pretty nice. it's the one with the four sloted heat extractors, right?
I might be thinking of something else...but does it already have 'breathing holes' in the front nostril portion of the hood latch bulkhead area?

oh, and how do the heat extractors block water from running down into the engine?

I've seen it on a T/A before and it looks awesome

I've got that hood on my car and it keeps stuff off. It's open pretty good, but not completely open in the scoops.

Saw it in person, looks bad ***. I didn't notice any fitment problems, but it was dark outside.

Most aftermarket hoods do, unless you get lucky.

Yeah, the only fitment problem is with the driver side nostril. It has about a half an inch of open space under it unlike the passenger which is perfect. Other than that it fits about as good as the stock hood did. I gotta get some shims and get to work on the bumper, i will get this **** perfect.

I was under the impression that any after market hood needed to be fitted to the car. I mean, unless you had SFC's installed the day you buy the car the pannels are gonna shift/sag some.
