I have noticed that alot of people including myself, have their ash tray covers broken. On firebird that is. Is this a defective part or is it just brittle. Also im having trouble finding one. I've tried ebay and on these forums and i dont want to try the dealership they are always to pricey. Would anyone have one laying around??

Mine was broken when I bought my car. I fixed it on my own. Ours might have been broken in a different way, but basically, the peg just didn't sit in the whole so it wouldn't open without it being all lopsided. Same thing with mine. The peg closest to the driver side didnt sit like it should have but if you screw with it long enough it should pop back in.
