I have noticed that alot of people including myself, have their ash tray covers broken. On firebird that is. Is this a defective part or is it just brittle. Also im having trouble finding one. I've tried ebay and on these forums and i dont want to try the dealership they are always to pricey. Would anyone have one laying around??

Mine was broken when I bought my car. I fixed it on my own. Ours might have been broken in a different way, but basically, the peg just didn't sit in the whole so it wouldn't open without it being all lopsided. I jerry rigged it and it worked fine, but I ended up buying a new shifter console anyways because I found one on ebay for $15.-Kevin
\'96 White Camaro RS M5
GTP Shortblock - T3/T4 -6psi Intercooled
Open Downpipe

Any clue how much one from the dealer costs? An arm, leg, or both? Mine is broke too.\'99 3.8 Firebird
Red, T-Tops, Chrome Dante 17\'s, Cold Air Intake, Free Ram Air, K&N Filter, Flowmaster Duels, Performance Plugs/Wires, CATless, Smoothed out Lid

Young girls avert their eyes, weak men tremble, Ford dealers faint...Firebird Power!!
