Fake- Purge idea...

hey all, its me again...
I was thinking about how to do some special effect type stuff to the car and thought it would look awesome to have 1. fire or 2. white gas shoot out of a firebird nostrils! recently i saw a firebird with nos purge out the nostrils and i [img]graemlins/bowdown.gif[/img] so now i really want to realize this idea but the thing is, NOS will not go over well with the parentals so i figured i could use a C02 bottle i have for my old paintball guns to run the gas. i thought it would be awesome to have just for kicks...blow cold white gas on peds as they walk the crosswalk in front of you...or if i DID happen to get some flammable gas to come out...have lighters that ignite the gas and cause the FIREbird to FIREbreath...THEN YOU COULD TORCH PEDS TO A CRISP! wouldnt that be fun???? anyways if anyone has any advice or opinions please lemme know.. also a [img]graemlins/twak.gif[/img] to my face is just as welcome [img]graemlins/wavey.gif[/img]

I think that it would look SWEET having fire shoot out of the nostrils, especially with a WS6 hood.

However, I do think that is illegal in almost every state, spare for car shows and such, don't quote me on that, though.

As head-turning as that would be, I don't think torching pedestrians would be a feasable idea, I heard a horror story of a truck that had fire out his exhaust pipes burn the car behind him at a stop light because of it.

I dont thin flames would be to safe on ur paint or anything around the engine.. So whats a gas that would shoot like that because I am getting a Double Vision hood and wanted to do that just for fun!

And whats a way to hook the CO2 bottle to a button so that when its pushed it came out..

thats my question hehehe....probably some kind of electric solenoid valve a button would be an easy install but im not good at rigging up co2 bottles to hoses to actuators....anyone got any ideas on how to *CHEAPLY* acheive this white gas sneezing nostril effect?

Think of when you would "fake purge" in front of a lot of people..and then have them ask you about your nitrous set-up. Look at all the laughs that you will get when you say it's fake. It's like putting V8 badges on your car.

I don't think its a bad thing because he has a V6 to display it. Hell, I put a Trans Am hatch on my Firebird, I just like how they look better. I just can't afford a Trans Am. Unless you're giong around saying, "hey I have a TA", I dont think there's a problem.

Unless you go ricy, which I don't think this really is...but then again, I don't consider much things other than high spoilers, blackouts, heavy tint, and speakers to be ricey.

thanks for the support guys, im just throwin out ideas for everyone to chomp on, yes i know some of them may seem...interesting, (and potentially ricey to some of you) but its all in good fun, im not looking to pretend to have NOS i just like the idea of having that bull snorting effect before the cow runs over the skinny french guy with the red towel.... the "fake purge" was the best way to describe my idea...anyway ill be lookin into this and ive already got C02 so alls i need is a switch, some wire, an electric solenoid and some braided hose...ill let everyone know how it turns out :-D should be pretty funny to purge infront of a Viper and then get completely smoked LOL oh yes that will be great... maybe ill turn this into a performance mod one day, have the nozzles spray the cold c02 all over my engin to cool it down, ya never know what i might do....heheh...

Jesus, stop watching Transformers! NOS out out of your hood? Tone it down a little. Try putting red lights in the nostrils (quazi-Knight Rider). Please, no more crazy ideas, you might kill yourself.

purging like that would be cool, but don't do it b4 a race, unless ur looking 2 look slow, then up the stakes and burn them off the road later. add a neon light in the area to make the purge look colored. that'd look sweet too

ricer isn't what u do, it's how u think of it. damn, am I the only guy here who get's philosophy?

You should hook up some propane tanks and some spark plugs in your nostrils, and the C02. Slap a burger on the hood nostrils, Shoot with some propane, put out the fire with a little C02, and you got yourself a mini gril on the hood of your car. [img]graemlins/banana.gif[/img]
