  • Installing Clear Corners

I ordered a set of clear front turn signals (DRLs) about a year ago, and tried installing them right away, but i couldnt get the originals out. I got all the screws out, but I couldnt get the housing out of the bumper. I spent many many hours trying to get the originals out, but I got too frustrated and havent tried again since. I stil like the way the clears look, and Im thinking of giving the installation another shot, so I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how they installed theirs.

It takes a little forcing to get them out. If you're not doing them from the top, do. Make sure you take out the headlights. That's about it. Just a little brute force. :D

it was hard for me too, but I just took out my head lights and disconnected the bulbs, set the headlights aside, then took the bulbs out of the signals, then I took all of the screws out of the signals. I think there's a hidden one, I think that's what stumped me. If I remember right, there may be like 3 screws on each of the signals. Then when you're sure all the screws are out, you can push down the flap that holds them in and try to pull them out, if they're not loose at all, then you may have 1 more screw to remove.

Yes, I forgot to mention, I was working from the top...I removed both headlights, and then the 2 top screws and 1 bottom screw from the DRLs. My main problem was the outer edge of the light getting caught for about 1/4 inch on a bracket...maybe the bumper bracket?? Did anyone else run into this problem?

Yep. I just basically had to force it past that. It will feel like it's gonna break something, but it *will* fit.

I did it from the bottom and had use some "massaging" to get them in...

there is an "access panel" unerneath the car to get to it.

It's pretty hard man... main thing is make sure all screws are out before you try to strong arm it. after that use force to move the panel, but only use ENOUGH force, not too much, I still felt like I was going to break something, just be careful man

we are talking about the side marker signals on the nose of the car and on the bumper. not taillights.
