Ok, from shipping there is a gouge about this thick (--) and this deep (-) in my Trans Am hatch. It's white and its on the top part of the fin, on the left side, on the end. I wish I had pictuers, but I won't until tomorrow afternoon.
Any estimate at how much it'll cost to repair this?

I don't know how much it would be to have it fixed. But you could save yourself some money by filling in the whole with bondo and prep the area yourself. I'm sure you can find directions online. It's not hard.
I would file a claim with the shipper. Get an estimate at a local paint and body shop. Then file the claim with the estimate. Why are you going to pay for something the shipper did?
Just get it done by a bodyshop. It might cost you from 100bucks to a few hundred bucks, no more though. It might help to have the hatch off the car too. A lot less preparation for the bodyshop.
It was already black to begin with, and the shipping company said becasue the man did such a poor job protecting it (by throwing a **** blanket over it and calling it insulated), they wouldn't cover for it.
