• My birds first WAX OMG!!!!

Ok finally day off I go to Auto zone and buy up a storm of Maguiars call deatailing products wheel cleaner wax clay bar. anyway I have to say I've waxed cars before using Turtle Wax. So i wash the car with BLUE CORAL car wash which was highly recommened. Second I dry the car off with microfiber clothes, Then I clay bar, then I wax with Maguiars Gold car wax left it on there for about 5 hours ran some errands and just drove around looking like a tool. anyway Used microfiber clothes and hand buffed all the wax off of the car. and let me Maguiars IS GOD!!! just made the car shine!!! Turle wax is crap compaired to this, took out a couple scracthes that I didnt think would ever be taken out, I'm very very impressed and recommend it all to you. But was just so excited about the outcome of how my car looks now i just had to post LOL!!!!

yeah, i use the NXT line adn its awsome. the NXT rire shine is incredible. I scrubed my tires down with a tire brush and was amazed at the black goop that came off. Then, spray on teh NXT extreme tire shine and my tires look amazing. It's 2 weeks later and my tires are still shinier then the wet look.

Glad to hear it came out so well. I need to wax my car soon, maybe I'll try that NXT stuff.

you dont need to be leaving the wax on that long. in fact, taking the wax off after driving around will cause small scratches.

Loochy, ive never heard that. i know for a fact that the pros actually leave wax on thier cars for hours at a time.. im not saying your wrong though.

No loochy is right. ive never heard of anyone doing that but if pros do, im sure they dont drive it and its most likely in a contained area like a garage.

if you put wax on and drive around, its most likely going to pick up dirt and fine particles, thus leaving fine scratches when you wipe it off, becuz you rub it into the paint as you wipe.

Hey guys, this is slightly off topic of wax, but what is that stuff called that you put on your windshield that is supposed to make it so you don't need to use wipers in the rain? Its like a wax but for the glass, and water just dribbles right off.

Rain-X can get it pretty much anywhere. Walmart, auto zone, Kmart. And its not even that expensive it works good for a little while and then you'll notice the water doesnt dribble off as good then just redo it. I actually did that today as well on all my window's. 5$ for a bottle of it.

Back on topic, I head it was ok to leave it on for a while, didnt really drive far couple Local stores. I have heard about the scratching But I just wanted to do this wax coat to keep it shining for 2 more months. I'm actually redoing alot of the Body and painting it when the weather starts to turn crappy. So the paint is my lease concern. But when I have the fresh coat of paint on there I'll be waxed in the garage and left there for the 5 hour duration not driven ..
